Logistics Support Manager

Location: Calgary, AB

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Salary: $95,000 to $100,000 annually

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Support Manager to oversee warehouse and logistics operations in Calgary. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring materials are received, stored, controlled, and delivered accurately and efficiently.

The successful candidate will lead a team and work closely with supply chain, program, quality, engineering, and operations teams to ensure material requirements are met and logistics activities support overall program objectives.

This role is ideal for someone who is a strong people leader with a solid background in warehouse and inventory operations. Experience working with aerospace parts, defence programs, or military logistics would be highly valuable.

What You'll Be Responsible ForWarehouse & Logistics Operations

- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement.
- Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, handled, and distributed.
- Manage domestic and international shipping activities and coordinate with transportation providers.
- Prioritize and coordinate material movements based on operational and program requirements.
- Ensure proper controls are in place for high-value, sensitive, controlled, and specialized materials.
- Monitor warehouse space, equipment, supplies, and overall operational capacity.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

Inventory & Material Control
- Lead inventory control activities to maintain accurate inventory records and material traceability.
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigations.
- Ensure inventory transactions and supporting documentation are accurately recorded in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Work with internal teams to ensure required materials are available when needed.
- Support material forecasting, repairs, returns, deployments, and other logistics activities.




- Identify and resolve inventory or material issues that could impact program schedules.

Compliance & Quality
- Ensure warehouse and logistics activities follow company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain compliance with requirements related to Controlled Goods, TDG, security, and material handling.
- Ensure warehouse processes meet applicable quality standards.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Address findings and implement corrective actions when required.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and compliance.

Team Leadership
- Directly lead and support a team of warehouse and logistics employees.
- Assign daily responsibilities and ensure appropriate staffing and operational coverage.
- Establish clear expectations around productivity, quality, safety, and accountability.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development.
- Conduct performance discussions and provide ongoing feedback.
- Build a collaborative and accountable team environment.

Continuous Improvement
- Track warehouse and logistics performance through appropriate KPIs and operational reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, workflow, material handling, and shipping performance.
- Develop and improve warehouse procedures, processes, and work instructions.
- Investigate operational problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Communicate logistics status, risks, resource requirements, and operational challenges to leadership.

What We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field,



or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Previous experience leading and managing warehouse or logistics teams.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and material handling.
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems, such as SAP, DRMIS, or comparable platforms.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on inventory accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required Government of Canada security clearance.

Strong Assets
- Experience working with aerospace components or parts.
- Previous military or Canadian Armed Forces logistics experience.
- Experience supporting DND, defence, or aerospace programs.
- Experience with DRMIS or military supply systems.
- Knowledge of Controlled Goods and TDG requirements.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environments.
- Experience managing high-value, controlled, or specialized materials.
- Experience supporting audits and corrective action activities.
- Professional designation or certification in supply chain or logistics.
