Marketing Associate

HCA is seeking a creative and organized Marketing Associate to support the promotion of our programs, performances, classes, and community initiatives. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop engaging marketing campaigns, grow our digital presence, and help connect HCA’s programming with new and existing audiences.

What You’ll Do:

Marketing & Campaign Coordination

- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns for HCA programs, performances, classes, and special events
- Develop and maintain marketing timelines, promotional schedules, and campaign materials
- Coordinate promotional activities across digital and print platforms
- Help ensure consistent branding and messaging across HCA communications

Social Media & Digital Content

- Create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms
- Develop social media calendars and schedule posts
- Capture and curate photos, videos, and other content from HCA programs and events
- Monitor audience engagement and contribute ideas to grow HCA’s online presence
- Assist with website updates and digital communications

Graphic Design & Promotional Materials

- Create promotional materials including posters, flyers, social media graphics, newsletters, and digital advertisements
- Adapt existing templates and branding for different campaigns and platforms
- Coordinate the preparation and distribution of print and digital promotional materials
- Support the development of creative campaigns that reflect HCA’s artistic identity

Audience Development & Community Engagement





- Support initiatives to increase awareness, participation, and attendance across HCA programs
- Help identify and reach new audiences through targeted outreach and promotional campaigns
- Assist with email newsletters and audience communications
- Build awareness of HCA programs through community partnerships and outreach opportunities
- Contribute creative ideas for audience engagement and program visibility

Administration & Evaluation

- Maintain organized marketing files, calendars, contact lists, and campaign documentation
- Track marketing activities, engagement, and campaign outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to marketing planning
- Assist with collecting audience and campaign data to support evaluation and reporting
- Support other marketing and communications projects as required

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education or experience in marketing, communications, arts administration, media, graphic design, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinking and an eye for visual presentation
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience creating social media content and engaging with online audiences
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is an asset
- Photography, videography, website management, or email marketing experience is an asset
- Passion for the arts and community engagement
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a creative team

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $23.46 per hour
