Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability.
- Create comprehensive schematics and technical drawings to communicate design intent clearly.
- Utilize simulation tools like MATLAB and LabVIEW to analyze system performance and validate designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical controls, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CNC machinery.
- Support manufacturing by providing technical guidance on fabrication processes, drafting standards, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct system design reviews, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement improvements for enhanced reliability.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, assembly instructions, and testing protocols to facilitate seamless project execution.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and other drafting tools for detailed mechanical modeling.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including materials selection, stress analysis, and thermodynamics.
- Experience working with schematics for electrical-mechanical integration involving PLCs and CNC systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB for data analysis and LabVIEW for system control applications.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately to ensure precise implementation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting mechanical issues in complex systems.
