We are looking to hire a medical receptionist with excellent organizational and administrative skills. Medical receptionists are expected to be compassionate and discrete with superb time management and record-keeping skills.
To ensure success, medical receptionists should be confident and professional administrators with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to the effective day-to-day administration of the office. Top candidates will work comfortably under pressure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and can effectively react to patient needs.
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities
- Send invoices and third party communications.
- Act as a point person between Physician and patient.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Stock and inventory examination rooms.
- Book specialists and hospital appointments.
- Perform clerical duties, such as filing and sorting, distributing mail, scanning.
- Greet people and direct them to examination rooms.
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages.
- Operate switchboard or telephone system
- Receive and issue payments.
- Telus EMR.
- MCP Billing.
Candidates should possess a two-year office administration diploma with emphasis on Medical. Candidates should be able to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment and be able to be a team player.
Experience with Telus EMR an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
