Position Summary:

The Detox Case Worker plays a key role in supporting clients through the Medically Supported Detox program. Working closely with the nursing team, this position leads client intakes, assessments, and orientations, while also developing and facilitating recovery-focused programming in areas such as addiction, mental health management, and life skills. This role promotes client well-being, safety, and dignity while fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead client admissions, including assessments, pat-downs, documentation, and orientation to program policies and facilities.
- Collaborate with nursing staff on triage and admission decisions.
- Create and deliver in-house programming focused on recovery, wellness, and successful living.
- Support clients in identifying treatment options, completing applications, and developing individualized action plans.
- Maintain accurate client records, statistics, and case management notes.
- Promote a safe, clean,



and supportive environment through regular monitoring and communication with the team.
- Assist with daily operations, including laundry, supply checks, and managing client belongings.
- Advocate for clients by connecting them with appropriate community supports and resources.
- Attend staff training and meetings, and adhere to Secure Harbour Society’s mission, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate
- Degree or diploma in a field appropriate to the position preferred or relevant experience
- Criminal Record check
- Experience in addictions, mental health, or social services preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and client-centered care.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
