Are you a professional and safety-focused driver with a passion for serving your community? The Squamish Nation is seeking a Membership Driver to join the Ta na wa Ch’awát ta Sx̱wéx̱wel Squamish Valley Operations team within Ḵ'iyáx̱ an Ch'áwch'aw Community Services. Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services SV, the Membership Driver plays an important role in supporting Squamish Nation members by providing safe, reliable, and respectful transportation to medical appointments, specialist visits, dental care, mental health services, and other approved destinations. This position helps ensure members can access essential services while receiving exceptional customer service delivered with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

What You’ll Do

- Safely transport Squamish Nation members to and from appointments, including medical, dental, mental health, specialist, and other approved services.
- Follow assigned schedules and transportation routes with reliability and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of route changes, pick-up and drop-off details, and transportation activities.
- Adhere to provincial traffic laws, local bylaws, and safe driving practices at all times.
- Promptly report accidents, incidents, and transportation concerns as required.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment for passengers during transportation.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with ICBC regulations.




- Perform routine vehicle and maintenance checks to help ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
- Present a professional and positive image while providing excellent service to community members.
- Support health screening and transportation-related record keeping as required.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Contribute positively to departmental goals and perform additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Minimum four (4) years of safe driving experience, verified through an ICBC Driver's Record check.
- Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Class 4 Unrestricted Driver's Licence preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build respectful relationships.
- High level of emotional intelligence, patience, and integrity.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Knowledge and understanding of Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw history, culture, customs, land, and people is an asset.

Salary: $51,584 - $62,932
