Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Calgary, Canada, offering multiple positions in the interior systems and materials (ISM) trade. Team members will assist with the installation and finishing of ceiling systems, demising walls, and related interior components according to project specifications and safety standards. Daily responsibilities may include measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, reading and following construction drawings, and coordinating with supervisors and coworkers to complete tasks efficiently.
Individuals will also be expected to maintain clean and organized work areas, adhere to all safety policies and procedures,
and support quality control by inspecting work for accuracy and durability. Depending on experience, team members may contribute to problem-solving on-site, communicate progress to project leads, and help ensure projects are completed on time.
Qualifications
- Practical experience or training in carpentry, drywall, ceiling systems, or interior construction trades, with the ability to work safely with tools and materials.
- Familiarity with reading basic construction plans, taking accurate measurements, and following technical instructions on-site.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety, including adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety protocols.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate respectfully with supervisors, coworkers, and contractors.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working at heights or in varied site conditions.
- Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and project requirements.
- Previous experience in construction or interior systems in Canada is an asset; relevant trade certifications or apprenticeships are considered beneficial.
