We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative music teacher to lead our Middle School music program for a small group in Grades 7–8.
The teacher will develop and deliver their own music curriculum, using the Ontario Music Curriculum as a guide and responding to the interests, abilities and needs of the students.
The program will cover a broad range of music education, with particular emphasis on singing, songwriting, performance and collaborative music-making. An exciting part of the role will be guiding students in creating their own rock band—developing their musical skills, writing and arranging songs, rehearsing and ultimately performing together.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a passionate and experienced musician and teacher
- Has strong singing and songwriting skills
- Can teach or facilitate multiple instruments
- Enjoys working creatively with adolescents
- Can engage and inspire students with a range of musical experience
- Is confident developing their own curriculum and creating an engaging, positive and collaborative learning workplace

Pay: $70.00-$90.00 per hour
