Home Child Care Provider – Stratford, Ontario A private household in Stratford, Ontario is seeking a reliable, caring, and experienced full-time Home Child Care Provider to provide care and supervision for an infant and toddler.

The position requires reliable and consistent childcare support to accommodate the family’s variable work schedule, including regular early-morning childcare and scheduled evening or overnight childcare.

Job Duties
- Supervise and care for an infant and toddler in the employer’s home.
- Assist with daily childcare routines, including feeding, diapering, dressing, hygiene, and naps.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Prepare bottles and infant formula as required.
- Assist with age-appropriate toilet training.
- Bathe, dress, and feed the children.
- Organize and supervise age-appropriate developmental, educational, and recreational activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy setting for the children.
- Monitor the children’s daily routines, activities, and well-being.
- Keep records of children’s daily activities and routines as required.




- Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to childcare.
- Accompany children to appointments and activities when required.
- Support the children’s emotional well-being and development.

Requirements
- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Minimum one year of relevant childcare experience, including experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
- Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check required before employment begins.
- Strong communication skills, patience, reliability, flexibility, and good judgment.
- English language ability required.

Employment Conditions
- Full-time employment at 35 hours per week.
- Regular early-morning childcare is required.
- Evening and overnight childcare may be required according to the employer’s work schedule.
- Vacation pay and overtime will be provided in accordance with applicable Ontario employment standards.
- Private furnished accommodation is available at no cost to the employee.
