Who you are

As NetSuite Functional Consultant you will analyze business processes, configure the NetSuite ERP system, and bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. They lead requirements gathering, create functional designs, configure modules (Finance, CRM, Inventory), conduct testing, and provide training to ensure optimal system adoption and performance. You may lead portions of NetSuite implementation projects managing project deliverables and building trust and relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Project Planning & Execution: Developing project plans, project governance, defining project scope, prioritizing requirements, and managing project execution to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables. Identifying project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and managing risk, action, issue, and decisions.
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis and business optimization: Conduct workshops with clients to understand business processes, identify pain points, and map requirements to NetSuite functionality in order to optimize company business processes
- Strategic Guidance: Providing strategic guidance and support to clients,



assisting in developing NetSuite strategies, to optimize business processes and achieve outcomes.
- System Configuration & Design: Configure NetSuite modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Order Management) to meet business needs, including custom fields, forms, and workflows.
- Documentation: Creating functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and configuration documents for technical teams.
- Testing & Validation: Developing test scripts, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and troubleshoot functional issues.
- Data Migration Support: Assist with cleaning, mapping, and importing data from legacy systems into NetSuite.
- Training & Support: Provide end-user training, create user manuals, and offer post-implementation support to optimize system usage.
- Quality Assurance & Delivery: Overseeing the development of project deliverables, implementing quality assurance procedures, and facilitating cut-over and go-live processes.
- Change Management - developing and implementing adoption strategies with clients in order to ensure successful integration and adoption.

Essential Qualifications and Competencies

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical or Industrial), Computer Science,



Commerce (with an Accounting, Finance focus)
- Asset - NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification

Experience
- Three (3) or more years experience in a NetSuite Functional or Technical Consulting role or other similar ERPs
- Experience leading or contributing to several full-cycle NetSuite implementations as a functional or technical consultant

Skills and Competencies

- ERP Expertise: Robust knowledge of the NetSuite platform its functions and benefits to clients or similar ERPs.
- Project Management Skills: Experience managing complex projects, including resource allocation, scope management, governance and risk mitigation. Highly effective at managing multiple tasks, priorities, and track project metrics, develop effective project governance and manage several implementations simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project challenges promptly and deliver effective solutions. Approaches challenges with a proactive, solution oriented mindset
- Leadership and Influence: Proven experience leading Functional/Business Analysis portions of projects and making strategic decisions, building client trust and leading teams to achieve successful project outcomes and some experience leading small teams.
- Client Communication and Relationship Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to define needs, resolve challenges, build relationships and manage client expectations
- Financial /Accounting Acumen: Financial /Accounting knowledge is considered an asset
