Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation is seeking a dedicated Gladue Caseworker to serve Indigenous clients in Thunder Bay or Kenora. This full time role involves guiding clients through the Gladue process and connecting them to community resources. With a focus on Indigenous cultural awareness, you will assist with fulfilling Gladue report recommendations effectively.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of five years’ experience in social or justice services. Proven case management and communication skills are crucial for this impactful role. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Gladue report recommendations
- Provide timely referral to essential community services
- Manage case files and deadlines efficiently
- Work flexible hours to meet client needs
- Facilitate group sessions and encourage client engagement Requirements:
- Community College diploma or University degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in social/justice services
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous culture and judicial framework
- Clear CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Clearance required
