Inclusion Health is hiring a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Rehabilitation Assistant, or Therapy Assistant to support children and families in Surrey, South Surrey, White Rock, Delta, and Langley, BC.

This pediatric therapy position involves working under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement individualized therapy programs in clinic-based and community settings.

Our pediatric team helps children develop skills needed for everyday activities at home, school, and in the community. We support children with diverse developmental, sensory, learning, physical, and functional needs through individualized, engaging, and practical therapy services.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

- Implementing individualized occupational therapy programs developed by a supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Providing one-to-one pediatric therapy support in clinic, home, school, childcare, or community settings.
- Supporting children with fine motor development, handwriting, visual-motor integration, and hand strength.
- Assisting with sensory processing, self-regulation, attention, and participation in daily routines.
- Supporting play-based learning, functional communication, social participation, and engagement in meaningful activities.
- Helping children develop skills related to dressing, feeding, hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
- Assisting children with developmental disabilities,



autism, ADHD, learning differences, sensory needs, or physical disabilities.
- Preparing therapy materials, organizing treatment spaces, and supporting safe use of therapy equipment.
- Observing client participation and reporting progress or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Reinforcing caregiver strategies and home-program activities as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintaining accurate, timely electronic documentation and clinical progress notes.
- Communicating professionally with families, caregivers, educators, and authorized healthcare team members.
- Following privacy, confidentiality, child-safety, infection-prevention, and professional-boundary requirements.
- Participating in orientation, training, supervision, and team meetings.

This position involves delegated therapy support. Occupational Therapy Assistants do not independently assess clients, diagnose conditions, establish treatment plans, or represent themselves as Occupational Therapists.

Qualifications

We encourage applications from individuals with:
- An Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant diploma, OTA/PTA diploma, Rehabilitation Assistant diploma, or comparable training.
- Experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation Assistant, Therapy Assistant, Pediatric Therapy Assistant, or similar support professional.
- Experience working with children in pediatric rehabilitation, disability support, childcare, educational support, or community services.
- Familiarity with child development, sensory processing, play-based learning, and functional skill development.
- Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, learning differences, sensory needs, or physical disabilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to follow clinical direction and work independently within assigned responsibilities.
- Comfort using electronic charting systems and completing timely documentation.
- A compassionate, reliable, and family-centred approach.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- A current criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening, or willingness to complete required screening.
- First aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification, is an asset.





A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are required for community-based positions. Exclusively on-site positions may not require a driver’s licence or personal vehicle. Work Locations and Service Areas

- Delta, BC
- Langley, BC

Appointments may take place at an Inclusion Health clinic, designated on-site location, client’s home, school, childcare facility, or community setting.
