Carrington Optometry is an independent full scope practice serving the Calgary area with a dedication to customer service and patient care. We are in a growing community with a heavy family patient base and are looking for someone to join our caring team. We are hiring for a part-time experienced optician position.

We are open Tuesday-Saturday with evening availability required. The ideal candidate must be available on Saturdays. We offer competitive wages based on experience, wellness plans and incentive programs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Fitting, adjustments, repairs, and dispensing as per specifications or prescription. Ensure all eyewear are of high quality and meets company and customer standards.

· Submitting insurance billing and related documents.

· Tracking and verifying lab jobs to ensure patients get orders in a timely manner; patient follow up for any delayed jobs; adaptation/follow up calls with patients

· Tracking supplier refunds/credits

· Merchandising and cleaning of frames and dispensary

· Inventory management





· Other duties as assigned by the Doctor and Office Manager.

What You must have

· Optician's license is ideal; if not licensed 4+ years of optical experience is a must; skilled in retail sales is a must

· Patient-focused, natural ability to build rapport with customers, has excellent attention to detail and is self-motivated with a willingness to grow with our clinic.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

· Up to date on current eyewear trends and a good eye for fashion

· Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
