Our optometry clinic in the heart of downtown Ottawa is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, detail‑oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient care, a welcoming environment, and a smooth, productive clinic experience.
What You’ll Do
- Greet patients and provide outstanding front‑desk service
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Perform pre‑testing using modern diagnostic equipment (autorefraction, retinal imaging, visual fields, etc.)
- Assist the optometrist during examinations as needed
- Process payments, insurance claims, and maintain accurate patient records
- Support general clinic operations to keep the day running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in an optometry or healthcare setting is an asset, but we’re willing to train the right person
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Comfort with technology and learning new equipment
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
