Painter – Powder Coat (Afternoon Shift)

Paint is the finishing touch that turns a finished part into a finished product. By the time a part reaches you, a lot of good work has already gone into it – and what you do next is what the customer sees. An even coat, the right colour, a part that arrives looking exactly as it should: that's what this job is all about.

We're looking for a Painter who takes real pride in a clean, consistent finish. Someone who checks the job traveller instead of guessing at a colour from memory. Someone who treats the powder gun like a tool they're responsible for – not just equipment they run. It is satisfying work when you're good at it, and it shows.

What you'll be doing

You'll take parts through the powder coat process – applying an even, consistent coat and handling finished product so it leaves the department looking its best.

● Identify colours correctly from the job traveller before every batch

● Operate the powder gun – maintaining correct distance, speed, and electrical grounding for even coverage

● Keep job tags on parts throughout the entire paint process

● Read and follow special customer paint instructions before every batch

● Use Flow (our job management system) to clock in and out of jobs

● Keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe

What you bring

You take your work seriously enough to double-check a colour instead of assuming. Paint work is physical and repetitive – you're comfortable with that, and you still bring attention to detail to every part that comes through.

● Comfortable with physical, hands-on work throughout the shift





● Detail-oriented – colour ID and tagging accuracy matter every time

● Safety-first mindset – PPE and procedure are non-negotiable

● Reliable, on time, and ready to work

● Able to take direction and work well as part of a team

● Basic computer skills

Experience with powder coating, paint prep, or a manufacturing environment is an asset, but it's not what we're hiring on. We'll teach you the job. What we can't teach is the mindset.

Position details

● This is a new position

● This is a full-time, permanent, on-site Painter – Powder Coat position

● Overtime pay applies after 40 hours per week – 48+ hours is common during busy periods and should be expected

● Wage: $25–$26/hr

● Afternoon shift premium of $1.50 an hour
