Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painting Lead/Foreman to oversee painting projects from start to finish. This role involves leading a team of painters, ensuring quality standards are met, managing project timelines, and maintaining safety protocols. The ideal candidate will bring strong supervisory skills, knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.

Duties

- Lead and supervise painting crews to ensure quality and productivity
- Oversee projects from preparation through completion
- Assign daily tasks and manage crew workflow
- Perform and oversee interior and exterior painting, including cutting, rolling, brushing, and spraying
- Oversee surface preparation, protection, and job-site setup
- Read and understand project specifications and construction drawings
- Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and other trades
- Perform quality-control checks and address deficiencies
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean,



organized, and secure job site
- Train and mentor painters while holding the crew accountable to company standards
- Troubleshoot job-site issues and communicate progress and concerns to management

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of previous Painting Leadhand or Foreman experience — required
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation
- Experience with commercial and high-end residential painting
- Experience with both interior and exterior work
- Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Understanding of construction-site safety
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
