Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening tools, plants, landscape maintenance supplies, and related merchandise
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on horticulture techniques, plant care, and landscaping projects to enhance customer experience
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts processing
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that highlight seasonal products and promote sales opportunities
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts,
and organizing storage areas
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages when needed and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with e-commerce orders by preparing online purchases for pickup or delivery as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience with retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques
- Passion for gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or outdoor living products
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms is advantageous but not mandatory
