Join House of Friendship as a part-time ShelterCare Support Worker, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness. This role offers 15 hours a week focusing on community service and support. In this position, you will work within an interdisciplinary team to assist men in finding permanent housing.

You will apply a trauma-informed approach to foster wellbeing and life skills, ensuring clients have a protected and supportive environment. Your commitment to the values of Justice and Hope will be fundamental as you build rapport and provide individualized support in the ShelterCare setting during weekend shifts from 4 PM to 12 AM. Key Responsibilities:

- Build supportive relationships with participants




- Implement program policies and facilitate client intake
- Guide clients in personal housing plans
- Maintain a clean and hygienic living environment
- Document participant interactions accurately Requirements:
- Completion of a two-year post-secondary education in social services
- Experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populations
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
- Knowledge of harm reduction practices
