Apprentice Plumber – Multifamily Construction

Full-time, permanent

Wage: $23–$36 per hour, based on apprenticeship level, experience and demonstrated ability

Noria Mechanical is hiring registered Apprentice Plumbers to join our growing construction team. We specialize in low-rise and mid-rise multifamily apartment buildings throughout the Fraser Valley and eastern Lower Mainland, along with select commercial and residential projects.

We are primarily seeking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year apprentices. Exceptional first-year apprentices with construction experience and a strong work ethic will also be considered.

Responsibilities

- Install drainage, waste, vent and domestic water systems
- Work with cast iron, System 15, PEX and other commonly specified piping systems
- Assist with underground plumbing, wood-frame rough-in, mains, risers and fixture installation
- Read drawings and follow layouts under the direction of a journeyperson or foreman
- Maintain a steady, productive work pace while producing clean, code compliant work
- Communicate material shortages, conflicts and site issues promptly
- Follow company and site safety requirements
- Keep work areas organized and treat coworkers and other trades respectfully
- Work safely at all times, follow company and site-specific safety procedures, use required PPE, and immediately report hazards, incidents and near misses.

Qualifications

- Registered plumbing apprentice or eligible and willing to register with SkilledTradesBC
- Multifamily or commercial new-construction experience is preferred




- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a reliable personal vehicle for travelling to varying project locations.
- Robust work ethic, with the ability to maintain a productive pace throughout the workday.
- Ability to take direction, learn from corrections and work effectively as part of a crew
- Basic plumbing hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, hi-vis vest, steel-toed boots)
- Class 5 driver's license with reliable
- Gas experience, fall-protection training and first aid are assets
