Department invites applications for the Principal for both Elementary and Secondary School. We are seeking an exemplary educator who models integrity, compassion and commitment to nurturing vibrant learning community grounded in the Boards Mission, vision and Values.
What You Will Do
- Principal will be responsible for academic leadership, operational oversight, staff development, family engagement,
and active participation in enrollment strategy.
- Set the academic direction of the school and hold the team accountable to high standards of teaching and learning
- Oversee curriculum development and instructional practice across grade levels, ensuring alignment with Ontario curriculum requirements
- Conduct staff performance reviews, provide coaching and mentorship, and lead ongoing professional development
- Carry a portion of teaching responsibilities to support operations and model instructional excellence
- Contribute to both short- and long-term strategic plan
Required Skills
- Principal Qualification Program Parts 1 and 2 (PQP)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in roles such as Teacher in Charge
- Demonstrated sensitivity to and knowledge to the First Nation cultural values and traditions.
- Clear Police Vulnerable Persons Check (CPIC) required as a condition of employment.
- Valid Drivers Licence with clear Drivers Abstract required
