We are seeking a dedicated and skilled permanent full time Property Caretaker to take care of cleaning, groundskeeping and light maintenance in the outdoor spaces of a large residential property. Preference will be given to candidates with groundskeeping / landscaping experience, and candidates with their own vehicle.
This role is vital in ensuring the pristine condition of outdoor spaces of large properties we manage, in either rain or shine.
The candidate must have a valid B.C. Drivers’ License and a clean driving record. We do have a company vehicle, however it is preferable to have someone with their own vehicle as the company vehicle isn't always available.
The position is based in Downtown Vancouver, with travel to West Vancouver and sometimes Richmond. Hours of work are daytime Monday to Friday.
Duties
- Clean and maintain outdoor spaces using any and all tools and equipment required (we provide all tools and equipment);
- Perform groundskeeping maintenance tasks to ensure aesthetic appeal and safety;
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to ensure cleanliness ;
- Collaborate with property manager to complete projects efficiently;
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment;
- Other tasks on and off the property may also be assigned.
Requirements
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions;
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision;
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely;
- Ability to use powers washer, blowers and trimmers;
- Ability to climb ladders to reach / clean higher spaces when necessary;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Has a B.C. Drivers’ License with a clean driving record (a driver’s abstract will be required);
- Is comfortable driving a high top Dodge Ram Promaster Van (similar to this one: https://www.ramtruck.ca/en/promaster)
- Is legally entitled to work in Canada
- Lives in the BC Lower Mainland area (applications from outside the BC Lower Mainland area will not be considered).
