Overview The Town of Blaine Lake is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and community-minded individual to fill the full-time position of Town Foreman.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Town's public works infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems, streets, equipment, parks, and municipal facilities. The Foreman will provide leadership in the delivery of essential municipal services while ensuring compliance with applicable provincial regulations and municipal policies.

Duties

- Operation and maintenance of the Town's water treatment and distribution systems.
- Operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Supervision and coordination of public works activities and seasonal staff.
- Street maintenance, snow removal, drainage, and municipal infrastructure maintenance.
- Equipment operation, maintenance, and repair scheduling.
- Monitoring regulatory compliance and preparing operational reports.
- Emergency response to water, wastewater, and infrastructure issues.
- Assisting with capital projects and asset management activities.




- Participating in an on-call rotation and responding to after-hours emergencies.

Requirements

- Class 1 Water Treatment and Distribution Certification or wiliness to obtain
- Class 1 Wastewater Treatment and Collection Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License (Class 3A endorsement considered an asset).
- Pesticide Applicator Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience operating municipal equipment including loaders, graders, trucks, and mowing equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous municipal public works experience will be considered a strong asset.
