We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our procurement team. Duties
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and translate them into actionable purchasing plans.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Source reliable suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels through demand planning and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, expedite shipments when necessary, and resolve any procurement issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance for audit and review purposes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles in procurement practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency across the supply chain.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems used for procurement activities.
- Familiarity with demand planning, MRP systems, and supply chain management processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed purchasing decisions based on demand forecasts.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
