Inuvik

Career opportunities are presented in the language received.

In Inuvik, leadership extends far beyond the office. It unfolds beneath dancing northern lights, along the winding channels of the Mackenzie Delta, and in the warm conversations shared with Elders, families, and community leaders who shape the region’s future.

As Regional

Manager, Child & Family Services, you’ll lead through relationships, supporting children, youth, and families across the Beaufort Delta while helping build stronger, healthier communities.

This is a role for someone who wants their work to matter. You’ll travel to remote communities, listen to local perspectives, support a dedicated team of Child and Family Services professionals, and champion culturally safe, family-centered services. Every community visit strengthens trust. Every partnership creates opportunities for children and families to thrive.

Life in Inuvik offers a rare combination of skilled purpose and northern adventure. Paddle through the world’s largest freshwater delta, drive the legendary Dempster Highway to the Arctic Ocean, fish pristine northern waters, or spend long summer evenings under the midnight sun. In winter, residents gather for community celebrations, hockey, curling, snowmobiling, and spectacular aurora viewing.

Strong volunteer organizations, cultural events, Indigenous traditions, and a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere create the kind of community where people put down roots and stay for years.

What keeps leaders here long term is more than the career opportunity. It’s the chance to know the people you serve, to see the impact of your decisions firsthand, and to become part of a resilient northern community where neighbours know one another and where your leadership can make a lasting difference across an entire region.

You’ll join an integrated health and social services system committed to cultural safety, collaboration, and improving outcomes for families throughout the Beaufort Delta.
