We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist for 2 Saturdays a month for 5 hours each day for a total of 10 hours per month...In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
- Support the front desk with patient scheduling, insurance processing, and administrative tasks as needed
Skills
- Proficiency with Dental Practice Management Software such as Dentrix or similar systems
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and terminology to assist with various treatment types
- Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Experience in dental assisting, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
- Strong customer service skills to create a positive patient experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
