Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) – Full-Time

Children’s Land Learning Center is currently hiring Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to join our dedicated and professional team at our Scarborough location.

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the RECE will work collaboratively with team members to plan and implement age-appropriate programs that support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

Programs will be developed in accordance with the organization’s program statement and philosophy, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), and recognized early learning frameworks, including Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT), How Does Learning Happen?, Quality First, and Public Health guidelines.

The RECE will also be responsible for building and maintaining positive, respectful, and professional relationships with children, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities and programs.
- Support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
- Create a safe,



inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Observe and document children’s learning and development.
- Work collaboratively with other educators and the Supervisor.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and families.
- Follow all applicable CCEYA, licensing, health and safety, and centre policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Regular Working Hours:

- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or
- 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
