Responsibilities

- Prepare and dispense medications, including compounding when necessary, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide medication administration guidance and counseling to patients and healthcare staff.
- Monitor patient medication therapy for efficacy, safety, and adherence; make recommendations as needed.
- Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical rounds in acute care settings to provide pharmaceutical expertise to the healthcare team.
