Director of Support Services (Dietary / Housekeeping / Maintenance)

Temporary Full‑Time – Maternity Leave Coverage (18 Months) Start Date: October 5, 2026 Location: 79 David Street, London ON. – Transportation Required

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Support Services to provide leadership and operational oversight for our Dietary, Housekeeping, and Maintenance departments during an 18‑month maternity leave. This role is essential to ensuring a protected, well‑managed, and resident‑focused environment across our home.

Position Details

- Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- On‑Call: Required, including occasional weekends
- Cooking: 2 days per week
- Salary: $65,000 annually
- Benefits: Eligibility after 3 months (subject to temporary employee policy)

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee full operations for Dietary, Housekeeping, and Maintenance departments
- Serve as the Health & Safety Representative for the home
- Manage scheduling, payroll, ordering, and HR‑related tasks
- Address and resolve resident, family, and staff concerns related to your departments, in collaboration with the GM
- Support recreation programming by working closely with the Director of Recreation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards,



including Ontario Fire Code, Food Premises and Retirement Homes Act
- Transportation required as public transportation is limited
- Qualifications & Assets
- Food Nutrition & Management Diploma (asset)
- CSNM designation (asset)
- Health & Safety training or experience (asset)
- Knowledge of the Ontario Fire Code (asset)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Reliable transportation (required)Start Date
