Dutch Painting Services is looking for a motivated, professional, and organized Sales & Estimating Coordinator to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with customers, developing new business opportunities, preparing estimates, and helping move potential projects from the initial inquiry through to an accepted quote or commercial tender.

The successful candidate will play an important role in growing Dutch Painting Services' residential and commercial customer base throughout Yarmouth and the surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities The Sales & Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Responding to recent customer inquiries and potential project leads.
- Meeting with customers and completing site visits to assess painting projects.
- Measuring and evaluating projects to determine labour, material, equipment, and other project requirements.
- Preparing clear and accurate estimates and quotations for residential and commercial painting projects.
- Following up with customers after estimates and quotations have been provided.
- Maintaining communication with prospective customers throughout the sales and estimating process.
- Developing new business and identifying potential residential and commercial opportunities.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, property managers, businesses, and other potential clients.
- Identifying and reviewing commercial tender opportunities.
- Reviewing tender drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and other bid documents.
- Completing painting takeoffs and assisting with the preparation and submission of commercial tenders.
- Following up on submitted commercial bids and tender opportunities.
- Maintaining organized records of estimates, leads, customer follow-ups, tenders, and sales opportunities.
- Representing Dutch Painting Services at job fairs, trade shows, community events, networking opportunities, and other promotional events.




- Working with the owner and office team to support company sales and business-development goals.
- Maintaining professional communication and representing Dutch Painting Services positively with customers and throughout the community.
- Performing other related sales, estimating, and business-development duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must

- Hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Be able to travel to customer locations and job sites as required.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Be willing and able to successfully complete a criminal record check as a condition of employment.
- Have strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Be comfortable speaking with customers in person, by telephone, and by email.
- Be organized and able to manage multiple estimates, leads, follow-ups, and deadlines.
- Have good attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
- Be comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and other business software.
- Be self-motivated and comfortable developing new business rather than relying solely on incoming leads.
- Be professional, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications The following would be considered assets:
- Previous experience in sales, estimating, construction, painting, or a related industry.
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial painting.
- Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Experience completing construction takeoffs or estimates.
- Experience with commercial bidding and tender submissions.
- Previous business-development or outside-sales experience.
- Knowledge of the local construction and business community.

Painting or construction estimating experience is an asset; however, we are also interested in candidates with strong sales, customer-service, organizational, and business-development skills who are willing to learn the technical aspects of painting estimating. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
