Senior Collateral Management Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, core business hours)

About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Collateral Management to join its Capital Markets team. This role is responsible for the effective management and mitigation of counterparty credit risk through daily collateral management activities, risk monitoring, and operational controls.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multiple business partners across Capital Markets, including Credit Risk, Front Office, Treasury, Legal, Settlements, and Middle Office teams.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor client portfolios daily to ensure counterparty credit risk is effectively mitigated.
- Issue and respond to collateral and margin calls.
- Accurately enter margin activity into collateral management systems.
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate collateral-related issues.
- Reconcile repo collateral statements and resolve margin disputes.
- Conduct process reviews in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform operational controls and oversight activities to ensure process integrity.
Additional Responsibilities
- Proactively assess market and risk developments impacting current exposures.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Build and maintain relationships with external counterparties and clients.
- Contribute innovative ideas and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications Must-Have
- Post-secondary education.
- 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets, Collateral Management, Securities Lending, Repo, or a related field.
- Strong Fixed Income knowledge and experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have
- CFA or FRM designation (or progress toward completion).
- Experience supporting Securities Lending or Collateral Management functions within a financial institution.

- Collaborative team of approximately 6 professionals.
- Comprehensive onboarding and role-specific training (approximately 1 to 1.5 months).
- Average daily meeting time of approximately 30 minutes.
- Interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
- No access to customer data.
