We are seeking a skilled and proactive Server Administrator to join our IT team. As a Server Administrator, you will play a critical role in the management, maintenance, and optimization of our server infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the reliability and efficiency of our IT operations.

Responsibilities

- Server Deployment: Install, configure, and deploy servers to meet organizational requirements and specifications.
- Server Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system backups, to ensure the stability and security of servers.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve server-related issues, collaborating with other IT teams and vendors as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor server performance, analyze trends, and implement adjustments to optimize resource utilization.
- Security Measures: Implement and maintain security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and antivirus solutions, to protect server environments.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate future server requirements and ensure scalability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with network administrators, system analysts, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of servers with other IT components.

Skills Required

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as MCSA or MCSE are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in server administration or a related role, with a proven track record of managing diverse server environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux distributions. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Familiarity with server hardware,



storage solutions, and backup systems. Knowledge of server monitoring and management tools.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot server-related issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments to ensure the optimal performance of server environments.
- Adaptability: Capability to adapt to evolving technologies, industry best practices, and organizational needs.
- Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications in server administration is highly valued and demonstrates a commitment to professional development.
