Overview
Join our energetic team as a Sewing Machine Operator and become a vital part of our manufacturing process! In this role, you will operate industrial sewing machines to create high-quality products efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture and repair products made from PVC, vinyl, canvas, fabric, and other heavy-duty materials.
- Sew and assemble custom products according to patterns, measurements, drawings, and work orders.
- Cut and prepare materials for sewing and assembly.
- Install zippers, Velcro, snaps, webbing, binding, grommets, and other hardware.
- Sew straight, curved, and reinforced seams while maintaining consistent stitching quality.
- Work with heavy and oversized materials and properly position materials during production.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper measurements, stitching, alignment, and overall quality.
- Complete repairs, alterations, and modifications when required.
- Set up, adjust, clean, and perform basic maintenance on industrial sewing machines.
- Identify and report sewing machine or equipment problems.
- Follow production schedules and complete work within required deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work independently while also cooperating with other production team members.
- Assist with other production and manufacturing duties as required.
Skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality control
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines confidently and safely
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling fabrics and small components
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving production needs
