Job Title: Shear Operator

Location: Hurontario St & Matheson Blvd E, Mississauga, ON

Pay Rate: $20 - $23/hour

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Shear Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating shear machinery to cut sheet metal accurately according to work orders, specifications, and production requirements. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate shear machines to cut sheet metal according to work orders and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents.
- Measure materials and finished parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision tools.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and routine troubleshooting.
- Inspect finished products to ensure proper dimensions, quality, and accuracy.
- Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Safely handle, move,



and position materials as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Work efficiently with team members to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

- Previous experience operating shear equipment in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Strong commitment to safety and product quality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
