Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sheet Metal Roofing Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal roofing systems on various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet safety standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal materials using hand tools and power tools to fit specific roofing designs.
- Install sheet metal roofing components accurately according to blueprints, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing roofs, including replacing damaged panels or flashing.
- Use blueprint reading skills to interpret project plans and ensure precise installation.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support efficient workflow.
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to prevent leaks and improve weather resistance.
- Maintain a clean work environment, adhere to safety protocols, and document project progress regularly.




- Remove and dispose of old roofing systems

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, snips, drills, and measuring tapes.
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades. (Nice to have)
- Strong carpentry skills for framing, cutting, and fitting metal components. (Nice to have)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. (Nice to have)
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing techniques. (Nice to have)
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights safely. (Necessary)
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various tasks related to construction and repair.
