**Shift Manager – KFC Canada

We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Shift Manager to join our KFC team. In this role, you’ll lead and coach Team Members, coordinate daily restaurant operations, and help ensure every guest receives friendly, efficient service and high-quality food.

Important availability requirement: Applicants must be available to work a variety of shifts, including overnight/night shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

About the Role

As a Shift Manager, you’ll coordinate the team throughout your shift and maintain a smooth, organized pace of service. You’ll work closely with the Restaurant General Manager while developing your leadership skills and learning more about scheduling, inventory, ordering, sales, food safety, and overall restaurant operations.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow within restaurant management.

Responsibilities

- Lead the shift and ensure customers receive friendly, productive service and quality products
- Assign tasks and coordinate Team Members throughout the shift
- Coach, motivate, and support Team Members
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure food is prepared according to KFC standards
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and health and safety standards
- Ensure opening, closing, and overnight procedures are completed correctly
- Monitor product quality, speed of service, order accuracy, and guest satisfaction
- Assist with inventory, product ordering, scheduling, and sales forecasting




- Complete cash-handling and shift-management responsibilities
- Address customer concerns professionally
- Participate in cleaning duties and ensure the restaurant remains clean and organized
- Support the Restaurant General Manager with daily restaurant operations

What We’re Looking For

- Previous restaurant, retail, customer-service, or leadership experience is preferred
- Strong communication and people-management skills
- Dependable, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coach, motivate, and bring a team together
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations
- Ability to maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service
- Reliable transportation to and from work during overnight hours
- Availability to work overnight/night shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
