How you’ll contribute The Shipper/Receiver is all about helping our customers get the job done right and on time – whether that’s by picking, packing, shipping, or receiving construction equipment. We want every customer to have a good experience so we do our best to understand what they need and make sure they feel looked after.
Responsibilities include: Fulfilling equipment work order shipments for Stephenson’s Rentals branches and clients with the use of mobile and RF scanning devices
Palletizing and shrink-wrapping equipment orders, verifying product quantity and quality
Receiving inbound shipments, inspecting for any damage to equipment/parts, and returning to appropriate facility location Answering all departmental email inquiries, and processing all work orders
Ensuring accurate stock management and computer input for incoming and outgoing equipment/parts, ensuring accurate inventory records Ensuring documentation as is accurately completed and checked for all associated outbound and inbound shipments
Safely loading and unloading all incoming and outbound shipments of equipment, parts, and accessories Safely handling and moving materials and equipment through the facility,
using a pump truck and/or forklift where required Adhering to and promoting our Company Safety Policies, including wearing all required PPE
General housekeeping duties and facility maintenance, as required Other duties as assigned Health and Safety will always be the number one priority at Stephenson’s so every employee has the shared responsibility of keeping themselves and all others safe by following the Safety Commitments, PPE requirements and all SOPs and Policies as laid out by Stephenson’s and governing laws.
Every
Stephenson’s employee has a duty to report any unsafe working conditions and ensuring that they and their co-workers at all levels of work are wearing their PPE and following our SOPs and policies. What you bring to the table 1 year shipping and receiving experience.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
Counterbalance forklift operator license strongly preferred.
Computer literacy with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Results-oriented, achieving high levels of individual and team performance. Ability to multi-task and work effectively and reliably in a fast-paced workplace.
