Job Summary

Diablo Tools is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Shop Hand to join our close-knit team. As a small, customer-focused company, every member of our team plays an important role in keeping our shop running safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on position supporting day-to-day shop operations, including material handling, shipping and receiving, order preparation, equipment operation, shop organization, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, is willing to learn, works well with others, and isn't afraid to step in wherever help is needed.

Responsibilities

- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by performing routine shop cleanup and general maintenance tasks.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, recording inventory movements, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs, repairs, and customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Follow directions from supervisors and senior team members accurately and efficiently, asking questions when clarification is needed.
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed according to Diablo Tools’ quality and safety standards.
- Assist with brazing operations, including preparing and cleaning components, setting up materials, and completing brazing tasks as trained and directed.
- Safely handle tools, materials, and equipment while following established shop and safety procedures.
- Take initiative to assist with other shop duties as required and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.

*Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime as needed.

*Benefits available after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
