Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Shunt Truck Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized trucks to move freight and equipment within our facility, ensuring smooth logistics operations. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help maintain efficient workflow and support our commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Operate shunt trucks to move freight, containers, and equipment safely within the warehouse and loading areas
- Assist with the loading and unloading of freight using forklifts and heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of shunt trucks and other heavy machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements, including inbound and outbound shipments
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or damage




- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate the movement of goods efficiently
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting on shunt trucks when necessary

Skills

- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience operating heavy equipment
- Proficiency in forklift operation and freight handling techniques
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures meticulously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods
