We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical ability, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or general sonography) in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams and ensuring comfort and safety
- Accurately capture, analyze, and document diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
- Review patient history and verify exam orders prior to procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies
- Adhere to professional standards, safety guidelines, and continuing education requirements
Qualifications
- Current certification (Sonography Canada ,ARDMS,) (with valid CMRIPS license) required
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to assist and position patients
- Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment
Work Environment
- Hospital, outpatient clinic setting
Mon-to Friday 800-430pm
