This is a Fixed Term Contract based in Toronto, Canada.

Reuters is seeking an ambitious, digitally minded Sports Reporter with outstanding knowledge of international sport and excellent written and spoken English, ready to thrive in a fast-paced global newsroom.

You will operate as a fully multi-media journalist, working seamlessly across text, video and pictures as part of a energetic global sports unit delivering to digital and broadcast clients worldwide.

The successful candidate will join a team of talented reporters, delivering breaking news with speed and accuracy and have a demonstrated ability to seamlessly shift between multiple sports and coverage areas in a single day – from soccer, the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, tennis and golf to combat sports,



doping and breaking news – while maintaining accuracy, speed and depth.

You will also produce deeper, investigative stories that appeal to a wide range of Reuters subscribers, from media clients to financial specialists.

A key part of this role will also be working closely with our colleagues in the visuals department.

Experience in combining text, video, and pictures in news editing and story planning is a distinct advantage, as this role requires a multimedia approach to ensure our sports coverage stands out across platforms.

This is a full-time role requiring flexibility and commitment, working within a rotating shift system that will include weekends, afternoons, evenings and some travel.

The position will be based in Toronto and will report to the Global Sports Editor.
