Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and professional Co-op Student to support the investor relations, social media, marketing, and sales activities of a publicly traded data centre company.
This is a hands-on role that provides exposure to both the capital markets and technology infrastructure industries. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and gain experience communicating with investors, developing corporate content, researching potential customers and investors, and supporting the company's business development activities.
The position is well suited to a student interested in business, finance, marketing, communications, technology, or entrepreneurship.
Key ResponsibilitiesInvestor Relations
- Assist with the preparation of investor presentations, corporate fact sheets and other investor materials.
- Research institutional investors, analysts, funds and other potential investors.
- Maintain and organize investor and shareholder contact databases.
- Assist with coordinating investor meetings, conference calls and presentations.
- Monitor relevant industry, competitor and capital markets news.
- Track publicly available information on comparable data centre and technology infrastructure companies.
- Help prepare summaries and research for management ahead of investor meetings.
- Support investor outreach and follow-up activities.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and consistent information across corporate investor materials.
Social Media & Corporate Communications
- Assist with managing the company's corporate social media presence, particularly LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Draft and schedule posts relating to company developments, data centres, technology, industry trends and corporate milestones.
- Help develop graphics, photographs, videos and other digital content.
- Monitor engagement and track basic social media performance metrics.
- Research industry news and identify relevant content opportunities.
- Help maintain a professional and consistent corporate brand across digital platforms.
- Assist with updates to the corporate website and investor relations materials where required.
Sales & Business Development Support
- Research potential customers and business partners in industries requiring data centre capacity and digital infrastructure.
- Identify and develop lists of prospective customers and sales leads.
- Assist with maintaining customer and prospect information in the company's CRM or sales database.
- Support preparation of sales presentations, proposals and customer materials.
- Conduct market and competitor research.
- Assist the sales team with prospect outreach and follow-up.
- Help coordinate customer meetings, site visits and presentations.
- Research emerging opportunities in areas such as cloud computing, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing and enterprise data centre services.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a university or college co-op program, preferably in Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Technology or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating professionally by email, phone and social media.
- Solid research and organizational skills.
- Interest in capital markets, investing, technology and/or data centres.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly PowerPoint/Slides and Excel/Sheets.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience with Canva, CRM software, financial markets, content creation, video editing or investment research would be considered an asset but is not required.

This is a virtual internship - work from home. There is an office as needed in downtown Vancouver, but we are a virtual company and most work will be done remotely.
