We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Subcontractor Flooring Installer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial flooring installation, with expertise across various flooring types. We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to top-tier workmanship.

Compensation: $50,000 - $100,000 annually based on piecework

Collaboration:

- Work closely with project managers, designers, and other trades for smooth project execution
- Communicate effectively with clients in English to ensure clarity and satisfaction

Responsibilities:

- Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, engineered wood, and tile
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces as necessary
- Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit around obstacles and edges
- Follow detailed layout plans and blueprints
- Apply adhesives and sealants where required
- Ensure flooring is installed evenly, securely, and according to manufacturer specifications
- Perform finishing work such as transitions, trims, and clean-up
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Operate flooring tools and equipment with skill and care




- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment
- Provide touch-ups and corrections to deliver a clean, finished look
- Take direction from the project manager and provide progress updates

Qualifications:

- Must speak English fluently for effective communication on job sites
- Must have own vehicle, tools, and installation equipment
- Minimum 5 years of flooring installation experience with references
- Must carry valid Liability Insurance and WSIB coverage
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Skilled in a wide range of flooring systems and tools
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable using a smartphone and basic apps for scheduling and communication
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Driver’s license required
