Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Preparer & Accountant, located in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing personal and corporate tax returns, supporting year-end financial reporting, and ensuring full compliance with CRA regulations.

Key responsibilities include tax planning support, maintaining accurate accounting records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with HST/GST filings, payroll remittances, and CRA correspondence.



The role also involves preparing working papers, supporting audits/reviews, and collaborating with internal teams to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Canadian taxation (T1, T2, HST/GST) and CRA compliance
- Experience preparing personal, corporate, and small business tax returns
- Ability to handle CRA notices, audits, reviews, and tax-related correspondence
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with year-end preparation and supporting financial statements
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and tax documentation standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced skills in accounting software and MS Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Qualified designation (CPA, CMA, or CA) is an asset
- Experience with tax software (e.g., Taxprep, Profile, QuickBooks, etc.) is a plus
