We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Proposal Writer with a strong computer science background to help us secure new projects across both public and private sector accounts.

Position Overview

This role goes beyond traditional writing. We need a technical communicator who can apply computer science principles to automate and scale our bidding process. You will leverage Artificial Intelligence and build internal tools to extract data from past projects, assemble first drafts, and manage our content libraries.

Additionally, your technical background will be essential in translating our complex work—such as computer vision, edge computing hardware, and automated defect detection—into transparent narratives for non-technical evaluators.

Key Responsibilities

- Proposal Automation: Write custom scripts (using languages like Python) to automate the extraction of information from requests for proposals and instantly populate document templates.
- Database Management: Maintain an intelligent, searchable library of company qualifications, past project data, and team resumes using semantic search technologies.
- System Integration: Connect our internal databases with Artificial Intelligence text generators and document creation software to streamline the drafting process and reduce manual data entry.




- Technical Translation: Interview our software developers and engineering leads to deeply understand our proprietary infrastructure tools, and write compelling, accurate descriptions of our technology for prospective clients.
- Proposal Development: Manage the complete lifecycle of proposal submissions for municipal governments, provincial agencies, and private commercial clients, ensuring strict adherence to formatting and evaluation criteria.

Qualifications and Skills

- Computer Science Foundation: Practical experience writing code to automate repetitive tasks, connect software platforms, and manage data workflows.
- Artificial Intelligence Implementation: Hands-on experience configuring Artificial Intelligence models, writing structured prompts, and managing automated content generation systems.
- Writing & Editing: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex software architecture and engineering concepts into clear, persuasive business language.
- Data Organization: Strong understanding of database structures and version control to maintain a highly organized, single source of truth for all company documentation.
- Detail-Oriented: The ability to manage multiple moving parts and tight deadlines within a collaborative, 13-person team environment.

Pay: $58,000.00-$86,000.00 per year
