Position to start for the 2026-2027 school year

Medicine Hat Public School Division is looking for a 0.50 FTE teacher for grade 4-6 Literacy and numeracy instruction at Hub Virtual School. Our school offers real-time instruction for students throughout the province of Alberta and provides the same level of support as a traditional school. With an enrolment of 160 full time students from grade 4 to grade 12, we are driven to meet the needs of all students and families through unique and engaging programming.

Given our online environment this position will require individuals who can demonstrate:

• Skill in developing rapport and relationships and supporting wellness with students and families in a virtual workplace.

• Knowledge and skills to teach English Language Arts and Numeracy from grades 4 to 6





• A clear vision of instructional design that scaffolds for learners.

• An ability to differentiate for a wide variety of learners.

• A knowledge of high–quality digital tools and a demonstrated ability in applying these tools.

• An ability and willingness to collaborate.

• An ability to lead and supervise support staff.

Hub Virtual School located 112/114 578 South Railway St SE, our class schedule is typically 9am- 3:20pm however flexibility to work outside of regular hours is a requirement.
