Job Overview

We are looking for an experianced shop hand with welding & fabrication skills to join our team for repairs and custom manufacturing and outfitting. The position includes structural and cosmetic trailer repairs on various types of open and enclosed cargo and utility / equipment trailers. From changing fenders to fixing doors to reskinning cargo trailer walls and roofs.

Also custom work including building cabinets, benches / shelves and general installation of accessories like roof racks, D-rings and tie downs rails.

Hours are full time 8 to 5 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive repairs on trailers including structural repairs, brake systems, electrical wiring, and hydraulic components.
- Fabricate custom parts and modify trailers using welding techniques and hand tools to meet specific specifications.
- Outfit trailers with necessary accessories such as lighting, shelving, Heaters & A/C units, or specialized equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance & repair inspections on trailers




- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspection reports for compliance and quality assurance.

Experience

- Provious welding & repair experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with trailer fabrication, outfitting, or customization projects.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive repair principles combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting wiring systems.
- Skilled in welding (MIG/TIG), use of power tools, hand tools, and industrial maintenance equipment.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and mechanical components of trailers and heavy machinery.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is a strong plus.
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate repair details and project timelines with clients or team members.
