Duties

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo using proper techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to uphold a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance basics
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS or route planning tools
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual tasks as needed
