Duties

- Safely operate trucks with air brake systems to deliver freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brake systems, lights, tires, and other critical components to ensure optimal performance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs for compliance and tracking purposes
- Perform routine automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain vehicle safety
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel,



and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, freight handling, and commercial driving to promote a secure work environment

Skills

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement required
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy-duty trucks equipped with air brake systems
- Skilled in forklift operation and freight handling techniques for efficient loading/unloading processes
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting on the go
- Solid understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving, heavy equipment use, and freight transportation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively
- Ability to stay organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in maintaining vehicle safety standards
