We are seeking a passionate and energetic Ukrainian Dance Instructor to inspire and educate students in the vibrant art of Ukrainian dance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to share cultural heritage through agile dance classes, fostering creativity, confidence, and community connection. Duties
- Lead engaging Ukrainian dance classes for children and adults, adapting techniques to suit various skill levels and ages
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate traditional Ukrainian dance styles, music, and cultural stories
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and cultural appreciation
- Provide individualized feedback and support to help students improve their technique and confidence
- Organize performances or showcases to celebrate student progress and promote cultural awareness within the community
- Collaborate with other instructors or community groups to enhance program offerings and outreach efforts
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized dance space,
ensuring all safety protocols are followed during classes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching Ukrainian dance or similar folk dance styles
- Strong background in tutoring or instructing children and beginners in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of Ukrainian cultural traditions, music, and dance techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds
- Experience working with children or in early childhood education is highly desirable
- Ability to plan structured lessons while fostering creativity and fun during classes
- Additional skills such as cooking traditional Ukrainian dishes or organizing cultural activities are a plus
