Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for multiple Wafer Fabrication Operators in the Life Sciences Industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Agilus is hiring on behalf of their Ottawa facility for a dedicated Wafer Fabrication Operator. The ideal candidate for this role has previous experience in a manufacturing environment, is comfortable with comprehensive on-site and ongoing training, and is flexible with both day and overnight shifts.
The candidate selected for this role can anticipate training on day shifts from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm and will transition to a night shift schedule from 6:30 pm - 6:30 am, working on the latter schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every second Saturday night.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all actions required in the operation of the Klockner machine to produce calibration packs (calpaks) according to established policies and procedures
- Evaluate quality and productivity problems to minimize defects
- Make required material changes in a timely manner to minimize lost processing time
- Record accurate, legible data in a timely manner at all points in the process, in accordance with documented procedures and GMP standards and practices
- Properly uses equipment and materials and is careful about observing safety and security procedures
- Consistently supports attainment of production goals.
- Demonstrates a commitment to increasing productivity and works to a pace acceptable to ensure goals are met
- Other miscellaneous duties as may be required
Successful candidates will have:
- High School Diploma or College Diploma in the same field of work
- must be validated by WES if education was obtained internationally
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be willing to pass a criminal background check
- Must be willing to train on day shifts and must be flexible with the transition to overnight shifts
- Must be able to work a full time position
